04 Nov #MFR2024 – Maker Faire Rome 2024 (Thank you all)
We would like to thank all our many customers and visitors who attended the “Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition” trade fair in Rome showing great interest in our products.
This year we exhibited a wide range of Rigol products for which great interest was sparked by the new portable battery-powerable instrumentation: the 5½ didit digital multimeter DM858; the 12-bit mixed-signal oscilloscope DHO924S with built-in AWG generator and included protocol decoding & triggering for a range of serial buses; and the 16-bit arbitrary waveform generator DG922 Pro.
All of them feature the same compact and portable form factor, a large 7-inch capacitive touch-screen display, and the USB Type-C power connector that allows them to be powered by a standard PD power-bank which also make them perfect for (lower budget) industrial maintenance and diagnosis, both on the shop floor and in the field.

In addition from Rigol we exhibited the DSA815-TG and RSA5065-TG, an 9kHz-6.5GHz spectrum analyzer with 40MHz RTB and Tracking generator (TG) and EMI Analysis Mode option (the N models have also VNA functionality) with a set of NFP-3 (near field probes kit).
The range of mixed-signals oscilloscope was composed from the MSO5104, the DS1104Z-S Plus and the new 12-bit DHO924S. The latter two are particularly suitable for school laboratories in technical colleges and universities.
The frequency generator category was represented by the 20MHz DG1022 arbitrary waveform generator and the DSG836A, a 3.6GHz RF generator with IQ modulation.
The Rigol line has been further completed with the 3 channel programmable DC power supply DP932U, the 6½ digital multimeter DM3068 and the DAQ system M300 for which we showcased also our drivers for its use with Simatic S7 PLCs (S7-300/400/1200/1500).

This year we hosted the electronic department of the “E-AGLE Trento Racing Team”, composed of students from the University of Trento, of which we are technical sponsors.
E-AGLE Trento Racing Team delighted visitors by explaining how the single-seater for Formula SAE is entirely developed by them (chassis, suspension, mechanics, electronics, …).
At the booth they showed the steering wheel of the single-seater, an element of the battery-pack and some control electronics, that was developed also with the help of our instruments.
Inspired at IFAM2023 last year, at MFR2023, we have proudly launched the initiative dedicated to students and teachers/professors of technical schools and universities, for their home laboratories.
Over the past year we have further developed it, and now the “special catalog” has more than 300 items with discounts of up to 60%.
Working with all of you on an almost daily basis always makes our work enjoyable.
Thank you all
