08 Mar 8 March
On 8 March, we celebrate the social, political, economic and cultural achievements of women around the world and call for further action to achieve gender equality.
The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day, set by the UN, is “Invest in women: Accelerate progress”. Achieving gender equality and women’s well-being in all aspects of life is more crucial than ever if we want to create prosperous economies and a healthy planet. However, we are facing a key challenge: the alarming $360 billion annual deficit in gender-equality measures by 2030. It’s time to provide support and funding to women’s organizations on the front lines.
Let’s join UN Women on 8 March, as we rally behind this year’s call to “Invest in women: Accelerate progress”. Take a stand with them using the hashtag #InvestInWomen.
On 8 March, we would like to congratulate all our female colleagues on all their achievements and thank our colleagues for their support in achieving gender equality at work and in society more broadly.
